The Rhine
This time adventure calls me in Köln.
The Gamescom takes place there in August every year and that's the biggest video game event in Europe.
I wanted to attend, to watch conferences and network, unfortunately it's WAY TOO EXPENSIVE 😅
But as I was looking for things to do in Cologne, I discovered the very interesting Severinsviertel... A place with my name in it? I need to check this!
A street, a bridge, a middle-age tower? Interesting!
So I'm off to visit Cologne one week before the Gamescom, when there's nothing happening in town!

The weather is not so good when I arrive, but I notice immediately the observation deck on top of a tower, that I have to climb for sure.
Cologne architecture is really something, a joyful mix of different styles and periods, and I quickly discover that it's not entirely finalized!

because it resonates inside!
My Adagio apart-hotel in the center is really nice. Like in Munich, I have my own kitchen to prepare my meals when I don't feel like going out.
The room matches my bags, that's important.
The sun is back in the evening! It's time to go for a walk to the Severinstorburg, I'm so curious.
The Severinstrasse is very nice, full of life and small shops, and it doesn't feel like a big city at all. I take selfies in front of everything with my name, of course! 😂

And the next morning!
The second day, I'm out to explore the city, walk along my bridge, climb the tower, walk for hours to get to a bigger one, a real adventure begins!

This is a very nice view, it helps me to decide where to go next!
Perfect place and weather to enjoy a Kölsch, the local bier 😁
Then I'm on my way to the Colonius communication tower, like the one from Frankfurt, it's not open for visitors anymore, so I watch it from the floor and not too close!
One day I'll visit the other iconic german
Fernsehtürme!
After 3 days, this adventure is done, it's time to go back to Frankfurt!
But which one? 🤔
AUGUST 2024:
This year, I won't go to the Gamescom either, because it's still too expensive 😅, but also because I badly hurt my back, so it's time for me to stop running: I'm where I want to be!
Let's conquer Frankfurt instead 😉
